(ABM-Crypto) Rusland lijkt niet van plan om net als China crypto volledig in de ban te doen. Dit blijkt uit een gesprek van het Russische persbureau Interfax met Alexei Moiseev, de staatssecretaris van Financiën.
In dit gesprek benadrukte Moiseev de ban op cryptomunten als betaalmiddel, maar Russen kunnen vooralsnog wel een wallet met crypto’s aanhouden en die voor betalingen buiten Rusland gebruiken. Volgens de bewindsman zijn er nog geen plannen hier iets in te veranderen, aldus Interfax.
Reden dat Rusland niet wil dat crypto’s worden gebruikt voor betalingen, is dat dit de financiële soevereiniteit van het land aantast, zoals bewindslieden zien gebeuren in andere landen waar dergelijke betalingen wel zijn toegestaan.
