(ABM-Crypto) De Duitse fintech N26 heeft meer dan 900 miljoen dollar opgehaald in een Series E investeringsronde. Dit maakte de mobiele bank maandag bekend.

“Met dit verse kapitaal, zitten we op pole position om een van de grootste retailbanken in Europa te worden, zonder ook maar één kantoor”, aldus CEO Valentin Stalf.

Met de nieuwste investeringsronde steeg de waardering van N26 naar meer dan 9 miljard dollar.

De ronde werd geleid door Third Point Ventures en Coatue Management. Ook Dragoneer Investment Group deed mee, net als bestaande aandeelhouders van N26.

N26 heeft naar eigen zeggen meer dan 7 miljoen klanten in 25 landen. Dit jaar denkt het fintechbedrijf voor meer dan 90 miljard dollar aan transacties te verwerken.

Met de verse kapitaalinjectie wil N26 1.000 werknemers aannemen, vooral gericht op het productaanbod, technologie en beveiliging.
